  • Week 2: Sharing educational resources - free/open-source software movement and Open Educational Resources

The idea of sharing educational resources through the Web is becoming more and more popular. But how can this be if "all rights are reserved". The Open content model, and the related copyleft licenses, are the solution. You will start by reading how the Open Content model has developed from similar sharing models in the software world. In addition, you will learn about the Creative Commons, an example of copyleft licences, that allow Net users to freely share resources, by specifying restrictions for reuse or modifications.

We have published both the book version and the SCORM version. You decide which one you prefer to use.
